We are partnering with a fast-growing, consumer-led membership business with global ambitions to appoint a commercially driven Paid Media Lead.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a performance marketer who thrives on driving measurable growth, scaling acquisition across international markets, and building world-class paid media capability. Reporting into the Director of eCommerce, this role will own global acquisition strategy end-to-end, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in accelerating member growth, improving conversion performance, and helping shape the next phase of international expansion.

The Role:

As the Paid Media Lead, you will own the global paid acquisition strategy across both existing and emerging markets. You’ll manage paid media activity end-to-end, from campaign strategy, audience optimisation, creative briefing, and landing page performance through to conversion optimisation and retention initiatives.

You will also manage external agency partners and help establish a best-in-class performance marketing function capable of scaling internationally. This role would suit someone highly commercial, data-led, creative, and deeply passionate about performance marketing and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and deliver the global member acquisition strategy across multiple markets.
  • Drive high-quality member growth and retention across all relevant digital channels.
  • Develop and execute a commercial growth roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve acquisition performance and accelerate signup growth.
  • Lead paid media strategy and execution across Meta, Google, Display, Programmatic, and emerging acquisition channels.
  • Continuously optimise audience targeting, campaign performance, and acquisition funnels to maximise ROI and improve CPA efficiency.
  • Manage and optimise landing page performance and conversion pathways in partnership with internal stakeholders.
Performance Marketing & Optimisation:
  • Build and maintain a best-in-class performance marketing ecosystem.
  • Lead conversion rate optimisation (CRO) initiatives through ongoing testing, experimentation, and data-led insights.
  • Work closely with creative teams to develop compelling acquisition campaigns, ad creative, and performance-focused messaging.
  • Monitor and optimise return on ad spend (ROAS) and overall channel effectiveness.
  • Ensure all acquisition initiatives remain optimised and continue delivering against key business metrics.
Agency & Stakeholder Management:
  • Manage and optimise relationships with external paid media, SEO, and search agencies.
  • Hold agency partners accountable for performance outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with eCommerce, creative, CRM, analytics, and broader commercial teams to deliver growth objectives.
Team & Capability Building:
  • Support the future growth and scaling of the performance marketing function globally.
  • Assist in building internal capability and managing outsourced agency resources as required.
  • Contribute to developing paid media best practice frameworks, processes, and reporting standards.
Reporting & Insights
  • Deliver regular reporting and actionable insights across acquisition performance, channel effectiveness, member quality, and retention metrics.
  • Use data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making and campaign optimisation.
About You You are a commercially minded performance marketer with a proven track record of driving customer acquisition and scalable growth within a fast-paced digital or subscription-led environment.

You combine strong analytical capability with creativity and understand how to balance brand, performance, and customer experience to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Ideally, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in performance marketing, paid media, or growth marketing roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience across Meta Ads, Google Ads, Display, Programmatic, and paid acquisition channels.
  • Experience managing significant paid media budgets and optimising CPA/ROAS performance.
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimisation (CRO), landing page optimisation, and customer acquisition funnels.
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong commercial acumen and reporting capability.
  • Experience working within ecommerce, membership, subscription, consumer, or high-growth digital businesses highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a scaling business environment.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to truly utilise and expand their paid media expertise across both acquisition and retention within a high-growth, globally scaling business.
