We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Automation Specialist to take ownership of a sophisticated marketing automation ecosystem within a large, complex digital environment spanning live events, sport and entertainment.

This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on technical capability with strategic thinking, bringing a strong voice-of-the-customer lens to lifecycle marketing, personalisation and optimisation across multiple digital channels.

Reporting to the Head of Digital , you’ll champion marketing automation best practice, lead campaign execution and optimisation, and play a key role in uplifting platform capability, governance and performance.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Marketing automation strategy
  • Support the delivery of a marketing automation and capability uplift roadmap
  • Identify opportunities to optimise automated journeys, content and campaign performance
  • Design and evolve audience segmentation strategies, including lead scoring and propensity modelling
  • Establish measurement, testing and optimisation frameworks to improve engagement and outcomes
Marketing automation management
  • Own the day-to-day management of the marketing automation platform, including campaigns, journeys and audiences
  • Ensure best-practice governance, data hygiene, accessibility, security and system configuration
  • Develop and implement lifecycle marketing plans to deliver relevant, timely and personalised communications
  • Lead platform uplift and optimisation projects aligned to digital and marketing strategy
  • Document and maintain marketing automation processes and governance frameworks
  • Ensure campaigns and content align with brand guidelines and operational requirements
Reporting & analytics
  • Set and track KPIs for automated campaigns, journeys and lifecycle performance
  • Deliver regular reporting and insights to senior stakeholders
  • Monitor live and historical performance to continuously optimise creative, targeting and channels
  • Lead multi-variant testing to improve conversion, engagement and customer outcomes
Stakeholder & vendor engagement
  • Manage relationships with marketing technology vendors and agencies
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor on marketing automation best practice
  • Support digital education and uplift across internal teams
What we’re looking for:
  • 5+ years’ experience managing marketing automation platforms (ideally Braze)
  • Proven hands-on experience delivering automated journeys and multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong capability in audience segmentation, lead scoring, propensity modelling and data enrichment
  • Demonstrated ability to apply customer data and analytics to improve campaign performance
  • Experience managing agencies and technology vendors
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline
Desirable
  • Experience with CRO, multi-variant testing and optimisation techniques
  • Working knowledge of Braze or similar marketing automation platforms
  • Familiarity with tools such as Monday.com
  • Exposure to UX, design thinking or customer experience methodologies
